The Great Pier Race August 6th 2017. The weather was ideal, but a slight gusty head wind made the rowing a bit of a challenge. Race started on time at 11.45 from Bell Wharf in Leigh with the first boat coming across the line 1hr, 06 :54min later. A great result from Queenborough rowing in their Celtic ‘Lady Daff’ winning the hat trick once again. A great ground crew worked harmoniously to allow a great logistically sound day. So a huge thanks to LTRC members who helped to make this such another successful event.
